February 15 – Last week, Greater Toronto Chapter received two Merit Awards at the Chapter Leadership and Legislative Retreat in Washington, D.C.: Volunteer of the Year (our own David Ward, from Morguard) and the Award for membership development during 2015.
NAIOP Greater Toronto is especially pleased for David Ward. David is a deserving recipient of this award which is NAIOP Corporate’s highest honour for volunteerism. David is a Past President (2012) of the Greater Toronto Chapter, Past Chair of the chapter’s Suburban Programs Committee, and founder of several membership events including an annual favourite: Ski Day. He continues to serve members’ interests in key roles including ongoing participation with the Suburban Programs Committee plus David is one of our chapter representatives on the NAIOP Corporate Board of Directors.
Hearty congratulations as well to our chapter Board of Directors and ALL chapter volunteers for membership success in 2015. The Membership Merit Award given to NAIOP Greater Toronto last week is a reflection of your cumulative effort to deliver career and business enhancing events and programs, and engage members while also attracting new members to the association. Every member of NAIOP Greater Toronto wins when chapter volunteers raise the bar as they did in 2015.
Congratulations also to NAIOP Vancouver Chapter, recipient of two Merit Awards. In total, 27 Chapter Merit Awards were presented last week at the Leadership and Legislative Retreat in Washington, D.C.
