NAIOP Greater Toronto has established itself as a leader in public policy issues at the municipal and provincial levels. With over 1300 members, our collective voice is strong and we are recognized as an important voice of the commercial real estate industry working on our own and in collaboration with a coalition of real estate industry organizations.

ASHKAY GUPTA joined Berkshire Axis Development as a Senior Acquisitions Analyst.
ANTONI KAJETANOWICZ was promoted to Associate Director, Mortgage Underwriting & Funding at KingSett Capital.

JOEL GOULDING represented the vendor for the sale of 507 King Street East, a 50,000 square foot character brick and beam commercial building at King Street East and Sumach Street in Toronto’s burgeoning downtown east, for $21,750,000.
JULIANNE GU of McCarthy Tétrault LLP and LISA WU and DAVID RUTA both of GWL Realty Advisors acted on a joint venture between Great-West Life Real Estate Fund, London Life Real Estate Fund, OPTrust and I.G. Investment Management Ltd. as trustee for Investors Real Property Fund in their acquisition of the 650,000 square foot Dynamic Funds Tower complex in downtown Toronto, with a transaction value of $473 million. Located at the southeast corner of Yonge Street and Adelaide Street in Toronto, the complex includes 1 Adelaide Street East (Dynamic Funds Tower), a 30-storey LEED® Gold certified office tower, 20 Victoria Street, a nine-storey boutique office building, and 85 Yonge Street, a three-storey retail building.
JOHNATHAN JACKSON of Subterra Renewables announced that the company has been engaged by Metropia to design, fund, own and operate a geothermal energy system for their preeminent 11 Yorkville Avenue development project. 11 Yorkville Avenue would be tallest building in Canada to use a geothermal heating and cooling system to date. By incorporating a geothermal energy system, 11 Yorkville Avenue would expect to achieve over 700 tonnes of annual greenhouse gas reduction – equivalent to the emissions of 150 automobiles driven per year.
